Featured Service

Become an online tutor for students in vulnerable areas, including those who have limited resources or attend Title 1 schools! To verify your service, simply take a screenshot of your verified service hours on Teens Give after registering to become a tutor. Students will receive one credit for every hour of service completed.

You can earn 3 service credits for your $15 donation to MPK. Donations help engage thousands of young kids in TOP SECRET missions to help food banks, nursing homes, hospitals, shelters, & more. Donate online here or mail a check written out to MISSION POSSIBLE KIDS at 2220 Coit Road, #480-137, Plano, TX 75075.

You can also earn an additional 3 service credits by helping MPK's marketing research project, where you'll be assigned 8-10 organizations to research online and/or email to gather contact information. To participate, contact Kathy Meadows, Executive Director of MPK at k.meadows@mpkids.org.

The Texas Health Care Association began this initiative to connect compassionate community members to senior living facilities. Volunteers can send letters to assisted living center residents and/or staff members. To verify your service, simply take a picture of the letters you have written prior to sending them to the nursing home. Students will receive one credit for every two letters written.

Use a free translating tool to subtitle TED Talks to help spread ideas to a global audience! An application form must be submitted before acceptance into the Translators organization. Volunteer translators should be fluently bilingual in the source and target language and should be knowledgeable of the TED subtitling guidelines. To verify your service, simply take a screenshot of your dashboard. Students will receive one hour for every TED Talk they translate.

#Padlet for Patients

With the help of nearly 150 contributors, Plano East NHS was able to send over 400 inspirational quotes, images, and messages to the Children's Health Hospital in the month of November. Well done, Panthers!

#TalkToTeachers Challenge

Starting in May 2020, we challenged our chapter to create one-minute videos to thank the Plano East teachers, coaches, administration, and staff for their incredible support and dedication. Proudly, we submitted 1000+ videos and were able to make a difference - despite being in a virtual setting! Thank you for your participation!

2020 Annual Color Run

On Saturday, February 29th, 2020, nearly 200 dedicated National Honor Society members from across the city of Plano gathered for the fourth-annual Plano NHS Color Run chapter service project. We raised over $2,500 for special needs students at the Adult Transition Center! Thank you for all who participated!
